Licensing

We firmly believe that the Internet is the freest form of the media we have today. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can start publishing their thoughts on a blog, or creating movies for YouTube, or sharing files using services like Windows Live SkyDrive in just a few clicks.

This is the beauty of the Internet. The Internet is was based on the principle of the free-sharing of the world's information and, although it has its flaws, it has largely lived up to its reputation and is the world's biggest exchange of ideas.

It's natural for most people to want to have some sort of ownership of their work, but copyright 'breaks' the freedom of the Internet. Creative Commons bridges the gap between "All rights reserved" (copyright) and "No rights reserved" (public domain) to make let people both own their work, whilst also allowing people to share.
